Dr. Steve Dayan (moderator) is a board-certified facial plastic surgeon and clinical assistant
professor at University of Illinois, and director of Denova Research. He has published
over 130 peer-reviewed articles and written 5 books including his engaging NY
Times best-selling book Subliminally Exposed. An internationally recognized keynote
speaker, he is best known for challenging the status quo and conventional wisdoms of
aesthetic medicine and philosophy.
Dr. Sebastian Cotofana is an associate professor of anatomy in the Department of Clinical
Anatomy at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, Rochester, MN. He additionally
is a honorary professor ofPirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Moscow,
Russia, and a visiting professor at the University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia. He teaches
anatomy, embryology, and histology to first-year medical students, residents, and health
care profession students, and his teaching focus is on advanced clinical anatomy for health
professionals, residents, and physicians. His research interest is in translational and clinical
anatomical research with special focus on age-related changes of the human face and
medical education. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters,
and online communications.
Dr. Kay Durairaj is a facial plastic surgeon practicing in Los Angeles, CA. Her natural
approach to facial rejuvenation is sought after by patients from across the globe and she has
been chosen by her peers as one of the top 100 injectors in America. Her podcast, Beauty
Bytes with Dr. Kay: Secrets of a Plastic Surgeon debuted at no. 2 on the iTunes Fashion and
Beauty Charts in 2018. An influencer in her own right, Dr. Kay uses her platform to educate
patients and teach her coveted techniques through her online course, Modern Aesthetic
Theory and Artistry.
