NEW CHAIR
In partnership with the
Leon Judah Blackmore
Foundation, the BC
Cancer Foundation
announced its
first chair in lung
cancer research,
Dr. Stephen Lam. His
new title is bolstered
by a $1.5 million gift from
the Blackmore Foundation
that will bring more talent to the Lung
Cancer Screening Project at BC Cancer's
Vancouver Centre.
Dr. Lam is the current chair of the Provincial
Lung Tumour Group and director of the
MDS-Rix Early Lung Cancer Detection and
Translational Research Program.

MACKENZIE GOLF TOUR
RAISES OVER $150,000
Special thanks to GolfBC Championship for
organizing this year's Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR
Canada at Gallagher's Canyon.
Its generous $150,000 donation will support the
life-saving care taking place at BC Cancer's Sindi
Ahluwalia Hawkins Centre for the Southern Interior.

DON'S LEGACY:
INSPIRING OTHERS TO GIVE
Don Eyford will always be remembered for his
dedication to his community.
When he was diagnosed with cancer at age 65,
the prominent Vancouver resident decided to
give a significant amount of money to support
research through BC Cancer's legacy giving
program. His gift will continue to improve patient
outcomes for years to come.
"It was a goal of Don's to give back," his wife, Susan,
says. "I was always inspired by his giving spirit."
