tatCare, an urgent care walk-in
clinic, has been proudly serving Salina and surrounding
communities since it opened
in 1986. It was started by a group of
local physicians who saw a need for a
designated location where patients can
receive immediate care for injuries and
illnesses that can't wait for a scheduled
doctor's appointment but don't require
emergency medical services. At the
time, StatCare was the only walk-in

Patients can use online checkin to view the approximate wait
times for both Salina Regional
urgent care locations and wait in
the comfort of their own home.
After a spot is reserved, the
patient will receive an email or
text reminder for when to arrive.

clinic serving north central Kansas. Staff
of the clinic take pride in offering skilled
and prompt care for patients and were
excited when the clinic interior recently
received a long-awaited renovation.
"We were thrilled for the opportunity
to improve our clinic flow and efficiency
with a remodel," says Lisa Burnett, team
lead for StatCare and Salina Regional
Urgent Care Clinic. "And after the
opening of Salina Regional Urgent Care
Clinic on Ninth Street and the building
of the new COMCARE on Ohio Street,
StatCare was ready for a refresh."
StatCare is located at 1001 South
Ohio Street in Salina. Patients familiar with the old interior will notice
improvements the moment they step
through the front door. The lobby is

upon entering.
"Patients used to form a line going
out the door," Burnett says. "Now they
can come in and spread out more comfortably as they wait."
Designated storage areas, improved
walkways and wall room divisions,
rather than curtains, offer greater efficiency and privacy for both patients
and staff.
StatCare is open seven days a week
from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Should a patient
require emergency attention, he or
she will be transferred to the hospital's Emergency Department. If you're
unsure whether an injury or illness
requires urgent care or emergency
care, call 911 or go to the Emergency
Department. 1
