you aren't making progress.
"We live in an instant gratification society where we expect
that eating less for one day should result in a 10-pound weight
loss," says Crystal Bertrand, a registered and licensed dietitian
with WellPlan at COMCARE in Salina. "When we don't get the
results we are expecting quickly, we lose focus and assume
that what we are doing just won't work. The best 'diet' is to eat
appropriate portions of healthy foods such as lean proteins,
fruits, vegetables, grains and low-fat dairy products.
There is no quick fix for weight loss. Instead, we
need to make small changes for the better
that we can continue with over time."
There are many misconceptions
about the best way to lose weight-
with some methods flat-out working
against you. Although there's no
single tried-and-true way to slim
down, making these weight-loss
