Kevin Ho

H

uawei's Kevin Ho is committed to continued
innovation, creating excellent products, delivering the best user experience to consumers
and building a better connected world.
As President of the Handset Product Line of
Huawei Device, Kevin Ho is responsible for product strategy, research and development, integrated
operation and delivery of Huawei's handset products.
Previously, Mr. Ho was the director of the Global
Wireless Solutions Department for Huawei Technologies. From 2006 to 2011, he served as president of the
GSM & UMTS Product Line, responsible for research
and development, design, sales and technical support
of GSM.
At CES 2016, Huawei
launched the Mate 8 smartphone, a productivity-driven
device with enhanced power,
efficiency, battery life and an
elegant design. The Mate 8
continues Huawei's mission
of delivering high-end devices
for global consumers and
business users.

As part of its announcements at CES 2016, the
Huawei Consumer Business
Group also detailed a slate of
partnerships to create a new
consumer ecosystem in mobile,
bringing together the best in
technology, payment, sound
and fashion in its consumer
electronic devices including

smartphones, tablets and
wearables.
Huawei also has entered the
world of mobile virtual reality
(VR), and expects to release a VR
headset this spring. The headset
- compatible with Huawei's P9
and P9 Plus smartphones, each
equipped with dual cameras
developed in partnership with
Leica - features controls on the
side of the headset.
Huawei's products and
services are available in more
than 170 countries, ranking
third in the world in mobile
phone shipments in 2014. Sixteen global R&D centers help
to further Huawei's goal to
build a more connected world

through increased telecommunications and innovative
solutions focused on consumer
access. Mr. Ho recently spoke
with i3 about the Huawei
product line and his vision for
a connected future.
Can you talk about the new
mobile consumer ecosystem
that Huawei announced at CES
2016?
