Exceptional Leaders
A
utumn has arrived with chilly days, football and
the anticipation of the holidays. And for the third
year, fall also marks the CT Hall of Fame dinner in
New York. On November 9, we will celebrate our
rich history of innovation by honoring 17 extraordinary leaders
at CTA's annual dinner held at the Rainbow Room.
This year's class includes leaders who built the foundation for many products and services we enjoy from
immersive television delivered where and when we want,
to the developer of the wireless Bluetooth standard that
we rely on to exchange data over short distances. From
a satellite-based navigation system to the early days of
the smart home and videogames, the leaders in the 2016

these inspiring inductees on page 39.
Our pre-CES issue looks at technology advances in robotics, the smart
home and how virtual reality is allowing brands to transform how marketers
and creators tell stories. We also reveal how technology is being shared among
different industries to benefit consumers, cyber security issues and a glimpse
at some of the more than 600 startups in Eureka Park as well as some advice
for these entrepreneurs from a veteran who has been there. We also talk with
Alejandro Agag, CEO of FIA Formula E Championship, which has some
big surprises in store for attendees at CES 2017. He explains why the future
belongs to electric cars that bring cleaner mobility.
Finally, our CES Unveiled New York section previews some of the
excitement that will be at CES 2017. See you in Vegas in January where technology continues to improve lives around the world. Please send comments to
