Annapolis Westin Hotel.

nited States Specialty Sports Association East
(USSSA East) donated $10,000 to the Tate Cancer
Center and Aiello Breast Center at UM BWMC.
These funds were raised during their 2015 Save
Second Base for Breast Cancer Awareness tournament.
Each year on the second weekend in October, USSSA East
hosts a girls fast-pitch softball fundraising tournament.
This year, 170 teams from all over the Mid-Atlantic Region,
with players ranging in ages from 8 to 18, participated. The
funds were raised through a portion of registration fees and
the sale of breast cancer awareness themed merchandise.
This is the second year USSSA East has raised money

for the Tate Cancer Center and the Aiello Breast Center
through this tournament. The donated funds will be used
for family services to assist breast cancer patients and
