but also a list of medicines, vitamins
and herbs you take regularly. In
addition, the urgent care center
will ask for your medical history,

ongoing conditions.

URGENT CARE?
If you are unsure about whether to go
to urgent care or the ER, call ChoiceOne
Urgent Care for guidance. If you feel the
condition is life-threatening, call 911.
In the following situations, choose a
hospital ER:
3 Suspected drug overdose or
poisoning
3 High fever (above 104 F)
3 Heart attack symptoms
3 Significant difficulty breathing
3 Stroke symptoms (numbness,
paralysis, slurred speech, etc.)
3 Severe burns
3 Serious eye or head injuries
3 Abdominal or chest pain
3 Infants, 12 months or under,
needing immediate care

you a text message to alert you when it's
time to show up.
Urgent cares are not primary
cares: An urgent care center and
a primary care provider overlap on
some services. But your primary care
provider is important for annual checkups. An urgent care center can fill in
the gaps, providing treatment when
your doctor's office is closed or booked.
Plus an urgent care center often offers
specialized services such as travel
health consultations.
Convenient services: Often an
illness or injury happens on the
weekend or when your doctor's office
is closed or overbooked. That's when
