REGIONAL ROUNDUP 1 Highlights and Happenings The people making a difference around B.C. 2 3 4 5 1. Jingle Mingle, presented by Proline Property Management, raised an astounding $905,000, including a $150,000 gift from Danny and Sandy Jadresko, to support T-cell production infrastructure at the BC Cancer Agency Vancouver Island Centre, a critical component for immunotherapy clinical trials. 2. The BC Cancer Foundation's inaugural Hope Couture fashion show raised an incredible $1.5 million to support the purchase of a state-of-the-art VERO™ machine. 3. The 10th annual Inspiration Gala, presented by Encana, raised a record $5 million for the BC Cancer Agency's Personalized Onco-Genomics Program. Evening contributors included the Rix Family Foundation with a $1.5 million gift and Roche Canada's $1 million donation. 4 and 5. The Discovery Luncheon-Abbotsford, presented by Scotiabank, raised $50,000 to support the High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy program at the BC Cancer Agency Abbotsford Centre. The Discovery Luncheon- Kelowna raised $100,000 for clinical research at the BC Cancer Agency Sindi Ahluwalia Hawkins Centre for the Southern Interior.
