People It’s a Great Place to Work The scores from the 2010 Employee Opinion Survey are in, and North Mississippi Health Services achieved the 94th percentile and Best in Class scores in 15 of 18 dimensions. Ninety percent of NMHS’ full-time employees completed the survey in May. In addition to achieving Best in Class in 15 areas, NMHS’ scores improved in all 18 dimensions over 2008’s results. Creating a great culture and achieving such great results on the biannual Employee Opinon Survey reflects the dedication of NMHS’ leadership and employees to make this a great place to work. Scoring in the 94th percentile overall on the Employee Opinion Survey means NMHS outscored 94 percent of the respondents in Human Resources Solutions’ database. HRS, one of the nation’s largest hospital employee opinion survey companies, conducted the survey. Their database includes 540 health care organizations as well as other Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipients. NMHS scored in the 91st percentile in 2004, 93rd percentile in 2006 and 98th percentile in 2008. The highest score available, the 99th percentile, was achieved in five areas: Promotions/Career Advancement; Supervisory Consideration; Supervisory Promotion of Teamwork; Supervisory Instruction/Guidance; and Communication.
