A Bold Fu ture Bottom: In the coming years, The Ritz-Carlton will add more than a dozen properties, including the new Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
New destiNatioNs to explore
While a full global economic recovery remains uncertain, it is encouraging to see some glimmers of improvement in the travel industry. In fact, there is great momentum behind the growth of The Ritz-Carlton and its global portfolio, which is expected to grow to more than 100 hotels by 2015. Our most recent openings in the Middle East — The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh and the iconic Al Bustan Palace in Muscat, Oman — will soon be joined by The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal. We are also expanding in Japan, where we have announced plans for new hotels in Okinawa and Kyoto. In other news, a little more than a year after opening its doors for the first time, The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong in China was named the No. 1 hotel in the world by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler in the United States. The property was one of 47 Ritz-Carlton hotels that made it onto the magazine’s 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards list. These types of recognition are a tribute to the ongoing support of our ladies and gentlemen, who continue to make the guest experience our top priority, and a demonstration of our vision to be the premier worldwide provider of luxury experiences. On behalf of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, thank you for making our hotels and resorts a part of your travel plans.
