For the San Francisco-based pair, who met in a local group for runners, the ritz-Carlton, Bachelor gulch was much more than just the ideal venue. Justinia and her friends had made a December ski trip to the resort a cherished annual tradition. In fact, the first time Colin was invited to come along, Justinia had a revelation. "That's when I knew he was a keeper," she says. For the far-flung families (the groom is from Alaska; the bride is a New Yorker), the Colorado location couldn't have been more perfect. From a s'mores welcome reception over a glowing fire pit to a full day of skiing before the wedding itself, guests reveled in a weekend of rustic pleasures. The hotel staff attended to every request, from curating a host of local craft beers to furnishing a creative late-night menu of sophisticated snacks. Another willing participant? The weather.
