Recognizing Alzheimer’s Next year, the first baby boomers will turn 65. And each day until 2029, another 7,900-plus boomers will celebrate their 65th birthdays. Because the prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia increases with age, the number of people in the U.S. who suffer its debilitating effects will grow.
