Finding time for exercise can be a challenge, but North Mississippi Medical Center Wellness Centers in north Mississippi and northwest Alabama can help you get started. Regular exercise can help protect you from heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, back pain and osteoporosis and can improve your mood and help you to better manage stress. NMMC Wellness Centers offer the finest fitness services and equipment available along with trained instructors dedicated to helping people get the greatest health benefits possible through exercise. They possess the expertise and dedication to help you reach your personal fitness goals.

• Heart disease and stroke: Daily physical activity can
help prevent heart disease and stroke by strengthening your heart muscle, lowering your blood pressure, raising good cholesterol levels, lowering bad cholesterol levels and improving blood flow. • High blood pressure: Regular physical activity can reduce blood pressure in those with high blood pressure levels. • Diabetes: By reducing body fat, physical activity can help to prevent and control non-insulin-dependent diabetes. • Obesity: Physical activity helps to reduce body fat by building or preserving muscle mass and improving the body’s ability to use calories.
