And so, we may find it difficult to remain completely focused on less personal agendas. While figuring out how to overcome these diversions to get your job done is imperative, it is understandable that making time for volunteer activities may take a back seat during these summer months. Being cognizant of the summer schedules of volunteers and members, CAI-NE, as a general rule, does not hold committee meetings, host educational programs or plan member events for the months of July or August. The only meetings that do take place are meetings of the CAI-NE and Condo Media boards; no matter how busy schedules may get, the operation of the chapter and Condo Media magazine are paramount to the success of CAI-NE. While committee meetings and events may be postponed until the fall, association boards must continue to operate during these summer months. This month’s issue will provide insight into some of the most common mistakes association boards make all year long and includes some suggestions as to how you can avoid the same mistakes. So in the spirit of enjoying those long summer days, grab yourself a nice cold beverage, pull up your lounge chair, sit back, relax and soak up some of the ideas in this issue.
