We had a great summer that was kicked off with our Annual Golf Tournament at The International Golf Club in Bolton, Mass., which was not only a fantastic networking opportunity, but a productive day in raising thousands of dollars for Homes for Our Troops. Everyone at CAI-NE is proud to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause for the men and women who serve our nation in the military. Thanks again to all our golfers, silent auction bidders, sponsors and individuals who donated auction prizes. Our Program Advisory Council and chapter staff have been working tirelessly bringing a full slate of fall educational programs for homeowners, board members and professional managers, including the 4th annual condo forum in Maine this past September, and the 2nd annual Vermont forum scheduled at the end of this month. Not to mention our biggest show of the year, the chapter’s annual Conference and Expo in Framingham, Mass., on Oct. 23 and featured in this issue of Condo Media. Managers, board members and homeowners do not want to miss this show as there will be extensive discussions and informative lectures regarding the latest issues affecting condominium associations and your communities. Over the summer, there was a legal ruling regarding responsibility for slip and fall accidents and how it relates to natural vs. unnatural snow accumulation. If you want to make sure your association and clients are legally covered, you won’t want to miss this event! The CAI-NE board of directors and committee members continue to work diligently in moving our chapter forward and we’re proud to announce the creation of a Public Relations Committee, chaired by Robert McBride, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, of The Dartmouth Group Inc., AMO, AAMC. The creation of this committee is a direct result of the update to the chapter’s Strategic Plan and volunteers include some of the top marketing folks in our chapter. The committee has been charged with formulating a strategy to make CAI-NE more widely recognized as the place to go if you live or work within the condominium communities of New England. More to come as this process develops. A Sincerely, Tony Chiarelli 2010 CAI-NE Chapter President For more information about our chapter partners, visit 4 CONDO MEDIA • OCTOBER 2010
