can produce a carefully crafted contract in a very
reasonable amount of time. And, since the clarity
afforded by more comprehensive language can benefit
both sides, you will find that reputable vendors have no
objection to utilizing meaningful contract documents.

not simply require the vendor to have
insurance, but rather it should require

well as the dollar amounts representing
the minimal coverage acceptable to the
association. There should also be a statement requiring the vendor to notify the
association, in writing, immediately upon

A one-pager stating that snow will be

and therefore protection, with respect
to all of the association's interests. I
discuss snow removal merely as a readily

available example. This type of analysis
and the resulting contractual drafting
should, of course, be applied to the other
types of agreements associations enter
into for other types of services as well.
