The outsized challenges they face in normal times have been supersized by a pandemic that has forced most of us to redefine what "normal" is, or what it is likely to become. It isn't surprising, then, that when we asked managers to describe the challenges they face, their responses followed a pre- and post-pandemic pattern: Challenges they were facing or anticipated before the pandemic and those resulting directly or indirectly from it.
