WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH ON THE CAI-NE BOARD?

Community service and volunteering are integral in driving a
community association toward success. I believe a diverse group
of members from various regional locations and backgrounds
provides greater depth of understanding when it comes to the
needs of associations, board members, managers, management
companies, and owners. I also feel it is my time to serve.
Having worked directly in the property management industry
with associations in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and
Vermont for 10 years, I have been able to work with an array
of communities, many of which express the same industry
frustrations. CAI-NE is perfectly poised to identify the issues
and trends affecting our industry and promote change. Through
proactive engagement with communities and management
companies, we can advise owners, operators, and vendors in
creating successful associations.
WHAT IS ONE EXPERIENCE THAT'S HAD A SIGNIFICANT
IMPACT ON YOU, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY?

At the age of 17, as a senior in high school, I had the
opportunity to go on a group trip skiing and snowboarding at
Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps and Western
Europe. I was somewhat petrified because I had only ever skied
at my small neighborhood mountains. Needless to say, I not
only survived, but exceled throughout the trip. Upon returning
home, I was excited to seek out new challenges. From then on
in life, I was empowered to not let my fears hold me back
from new experiences.

I'M AN AVID OUTDOORS
PERSON AND HAVE A
LOT OF RECREATIONAL
HOBBIES. WHEN THERE'S
SNOW, I LIKE SKIING,
SNOWBOARDING, AND
SNOWMOBILING. IN THE
SUMMERTIME, I LIKE
TO SPEND TIME OUT ON
MY BOAT AND GO FOR
HIKES. MY HUSBAND
AND I ARE ALSO IN THE
PROCESS OF BUILDING A
HOUSE, SO ADD PROJECT
MANAGEMENT TO MY LIST
OF EXTRACURRICULAR
ACTIVITIES!

seriousness, I would love
for someone to tell me after
getting to know me. I bet it
would surprise me, too.
WHAT'S THE BEST
ADVICE YOU'VE
GOTTEN?

One of my mantras is
that the things you regret
in life are the things you
never tried, the things
you never did. Don't be
afraid to try and fail. Do
something! I was in the
property management
industry for many years,
and at 40, during COVID,
I decided to make a
change to a completely
new career. I think that's
an example of me living
that out.
