1,200 Attend Town Hall 2011
The 2011 AAIA Town Hall breakfast
on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the
Palazzo Ballroom at the Venetian
offered unprecedented insight into
the latest in financial, industry and
consumer trends, insight and analysis.
More than 1,200 aftermarket professionals
attended the event to hear from
Mario Gabelli, chairman and CEO,
GAMCO Investors, Inc.; Tim Rogers,
president, Polk; and David Portalatin,
executive director of industry analysis,
The NPD Group. The winners of the
inaugural AAIA Head of the Class
Awards, and this year’s AAIA Impact
Award winners, were recognized
during Town Hall, and the event also
featured a time-lapse video of the
creation of AAPEX 2011, a kick-off
to the celebration of the tenth anniversary
of the industry’s “Be Car Care
Aware” campaign and a sneak preview
of the Car Care Council’s repair shop
behind-the-scenes video. Town Hall
