St. Mary’s Church; and Tom Rasmussen, HUD Daughters Antigone Chapter 35 Dedicates Second Building The Daughters of Penelope Antigone Chapter 35 of Minneapolis, Minn. dedicated their second building in the HUD 202 program on October 10, 2009. It adds 36 additional apartments to the original building’s 41 units built in 2001. The properties are located in Bloomington, Minn. The chapter seeks to add more units in future applications. Following the blessing of the building by Rev. Ted Filandrinos (ret.) and Rev. Anthony Coniaris of St. Mary’s Church, Minneapolis, a dedication program began with speakers which included D. Damaskos, ANHC; Elaine Sampanis, Daughters Grand president; Paul Hulse, AMC president; Christy Karthan, ANHC secretary; Rod Axtel, Bloomington official; Paul Woxland, HUD; Ritsa Petrangelo, District 14 governor; Don Vanover, A66 president, and Tessie Bourdamis, D35 president. Board President Angie Speliopoulos, PGP, thanked the architects, contractors, suppliers and contributors for their excellent work and assistance. A luncheon reception followed with many Greek delicacies catered by Gyropolis Café, Bloomington. The chapter took the occasion to also celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Daughters of Penelope.
