AhepA FAmily News AHEPA Leadership Meets with White House Officials Karacostas Discusses “United We Serve” Public Service Initiative, Hellenic Issues Supreme President Nicholas A. Karacostas met with officials from the White House Office of Public Engagement and National Security Council to discuss issues of importance to the American Hellenic community on August 20, 2009. He was joined by Executive Director Basil N. Mossaidis. “We are extremely grateful for the generous amount of time we were afforded at the White House,” said Karacostas. “We are encouraged by the high level of engagement the Obama Administration has demonstrated to the community, and its desire to maintain a two-way open line of communication. Two New Jersey U.S. Representatives Join AHEPA Hellenic Issues Champion Rep. Pallone, First-term Congressman Adler Welcomed into Order U.S. Representatives Frank Pallone (D6-NJ) and John Adler (D-3-NJ) have joined AHEPA, announced Supreme President Nicholas A. Karacostas. In July, Rep. Pallone joined Thomas Edison Chapter No. 287, Asbury Park, N.J. In September, Rep. Adler became a member-at-large of AHEPA. “We are thrilled and honored to have as members of AHEPA Congressmen Frank Pallone and John Adler,” said Karacostas, who was able to attend Rep.
