More than 200 AHEPA family and friends gathered at Terrace on the Park in New York City to honor His Eminence. Dr. Anthony J. Consul General Aglia Balta from the Greek Consulate of New York also echoed his sentiments. Supreme President Nicholas A. Karacostas drew upon events over the past 10 years which reaffirmed the leadership, wisdom, and love His Eminence provides to the Greek Orthodox Church in America. He cited the Archbishop’s tireless work following the tragic 9/11 terror attacks as one of many poignant moments during the past decade. This relationship has blossomed over the past ten-and-ahalf years with His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios.” Sons Supreme President Tselepis also presented a gift to the Archbishop for his selfless dedication to the youth.
