YOUR COMMUNITY CHAPTER SPOTLIGHT Friday Night Fever A host of teenage boys and girls from Children’s Specialized Hospital saddled up and headed off to the Dolce Basking Ridge Hotel and Conference Center for a Rockin’ Rodeo with the MPI New Jersey Chapter. They were greeted with a smile, a cowboy hat, a deputy sheriff’s badge and a colorful bandana. The teens posed and walked away with Western-themed photo keepsakes. They sombrero tossed and pinned the tail on the donkey. They were branded with playful, temporary tattoos and decorated piggy banks. And no one, even the adults, could pass up Noodles the Clown, who twisted, bent and tied balloons in all colors and shapes. “MPI New Jersey has created yet another amazing event for our children,” said Amy Mansue, president and CEO of Children’s Specialized Hospital. “This event allows everyone to experience the excitement of a themed dance. They happen to be kids with disabilities, but they shared this time of laughter and friendship. Children’s Specialized Hospital and the children in Friday Night Fever are indebted to MPI for making dreams come true.” —Danielle Foster, CMP CHAPTER SPOTLIGHT Exchange Rate Two MPI members will swap cities as part of an exchange incentive sponsored by the Chicago Area and Netherlands chapters.
