While the economy continues to improve worldwide, rising costs will start to affect meetings and events. Look for more business and higher prices as the economy perks up and meetings enjoy a muchdeserved comeback. The February 2011 MPI Business Barometer reveals, among other ﬁndings, that nearly 70 percent of respondents are seeing a positive improvement in their meetings business. And as meetings spend increases, respondents are seeing costs for accommodations, food and beverage and airfares grow.
