Education abroad Programs Financially
n■ Document student learning through exit surveys, journals, and other testimonials and use that data to demonstrate that education abroad programs are critical tools for developing global competencies. Link those competencies to employer studies of skills needed in the workforce. n■ Structure budgets so that programs are cost-recovery or budget neutral to the institution. n■ Find ways to show the benefits of having an education abroad program to your college, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Have returning education abroad students write articles for the student paper, make presentations in their classes, blog, and generally get the word out about how studying abroad made them a better student and person and was an essential part of their academic experience.

Tips To MainTain
