Rise in BRIC Rankings
China is on the move. In the QS
University Rankings: BRICS 2015,
released in July, China universities
occupy 7 of the top 10 slots,
up from 6 in 2014.
The platform provides a ranking
of the best universities in the five
BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia,
India, China, and South Africa).
Rankings are based on eight
indicators: academic reputation,
employer reputation, faculty-tostudent ratio, staff with PhDs,
papers per faculty, citations per
paper, international faculty, and
international students.
