Triton Technologies Appoints Jay Nalli as CEO
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Triton Technologies announced that its board of directors has named S. Jay Nalli, a 25 year veteran of information technology and teleservices, to serve as the company’s chief executive officer. Nalli joins the company after a three-year stint as senior vice president, sales for Insight Enterprises, a $4-plus billion reseller of computer products and services that uses telesales and field sales agents to reach customers. Previous to that, Nalli fulfilled a variety of sales and marketing roles with International Business Machines (IBM), including leadership of IBM Direct, over the span of more than a decade. “We are thrilled to have such an experienced, salesfocused executive lead our efforts,” outgoing CEO Steve Chasen said, adding, “The direct consumer’s multichannel buying habits are ever evolving, and Jay will help Triton meet these demands with our unwavering commitment to sales and customer satisfaction.” Chasen will remain an integral part of Triton’s executive team and continue to serve on the board of directors.

“We intend to expand Triton’s excellent telesales capability by helping our customers manage as many consumer touch points as possible,” Nalli offered. “Our goal is to facilitate transactions that result in relationship-building. The aim of that effort is to help marketers grow their customer base and corresponding revenues, and enhance their marketplace position.” In addition to expanding Triton’s service offerings, Nalli will be focused on building upon the company’s current facilities, located in Mansfield, Mass., and Phoenix, Ariz.

Mercury Media Launches Two New DRTV Campaigns with 1-800-FLOWERS.COM
MARLBORO, Mass. – Mercury Media was selected by 1-800-FLOWERS.COM to launch two new DRTV campaigns in April and May, both with the goal of spurring sales throughout the Easter and Mother’s Day gifting seasons while also creating wide-spread brand awareness throughout the spring season. “One of the most exciting aspects of DRTV advertising is that it truly is the middle ground where art meets science,” said Kristi Tropp, VP, director of client service for Mercury Media. “We relish the opportunity to show 1-800-FLOWERS.COM that it is possible to have both beautiful creative that leaves a lasting impression and a measurable impact on immediate consumer action.” Mercury Media worked hand-in-hand with 1-800-FLOWERS.COM’s creative partner, Mullen, to edit and optimize their new brand advertisements for use in the new direct response campaigns. The first spot focuses on 1-800-FLOWERS.COM’s “everyday” offerings, highlighting it’s in-demand “Fields of Europe” arrangement, featuring a selection of popular spring flowers including tulips, lilies and carnations, with the goal of spurring sales of this and other seasonal offerings. A second campaign will focus specifically on 1-800-FLOWERS.COM’s Mother’s Day arrangements. “Our goal in this effort is to keep our brand at the forefront of consumers’ minds during the Easter and Mother’s Day holidays and throughout their day-to-day lives,” said Tania Nemaric, senior manager, Marketing Planning & Strategy.
