As second quarter of 2011 moves forward, pricing has spiked in the last four weeks. The influx in breaking news these past few weeks has increased viewership, as well as the pricing structure, on news networks. The NHL and NBA playoffs also have increased viewership on stations such as ESPN, TNT and Versus. As these playoffs end, new seasons of original programming on USA and AMC will start up, continuing viewership increases through the summer.
