CarMD Moves its Headquarters to Irvine, Calif.
IRVINE, Calif. – CarMD.com Corp., a leading provider of high-tech consumer automotive information and products, has completed its new corporate headquarters located at 17352 Von Karman Ave., in Irvine, Calif. CarMD worked with architectural firm DeRevere and Associates and

Caliber Construction, Inc., to convert the 100,000-square-foot warehouse space into a high-tech office, testing space and warehouse facility to meet its projected growth needs. The new building features roughly 30,000 square feet of office space, 20,000 square feet of automotive testing space and a 50,000-square-foot fulfillment center. CarMD was previously based in nearby Fountain Valley, Calif. “This move is just the first step of what we have planned for CarMD as

In one year, mobile as a percentage of all online sales grew from 7 percent to 13.3 percent, which is a whopping 90 percent increase in just a year. Plus, mobile traffic to retail websites grew from 11 percent to 17 percent in the same time period. So not only is mobile viable, it’s indicative of how consumers are spending less time with their desktops and more time with their mobile devices, especially tablets and smartphones. The obvious message is that DRTV marketers need to develop mobile sites. That’s a given. But what’s particularly important is that you don’t simply use your existing site. While your existing site will look acceptable most of the time on a tablet such as the iPad, it will be mostly unreadable on cell phones, due to the small window size. The first step is to “think vertical.” Most websites are designed to be horizontal, with minimal scrolling being optimal.
