GIVING CAN BE FUN!
The Apartment Political Action Committee is making it fun to contribute at the FAA Education Conference in October. And, for the first time your individual or corporate contributions will count toward your APAC membership level!
NEW IN 2011 – APAC SILENT AUCTION
For the first time, all FAA attendees will have the opportunity to bid on auction items donated by other FAA members to raise money for APAC. The details are still being worked out, but the auction will run the length of the conference! If you are interested in donating an auction item please contact me at email@example.com!
“FORE APAC” OCTOBER 26, 2011
The annual Pat Crow Segal “Fore APAC” Golf Tournament will kick off our fundraising efforts at the conference. This event has been completely reinvented to maximize fun, management participation, and opportunities for all skill levels. The tournament will be held at Falcon’s Fire, which recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation, and is one of central Florida’s premier courses. In addition to an awesome golf experience, players will also be encouraged to don their most outrageous golf duds to be eligible for additional prizes! If you are in property management and are interested in being sponsored to play in the tournament please email firstname.lastname@example.org!
IT’S ALL ABOUT INFLUENCE
Without a doubt it is more important than ever to have APAC well-funded. It’s no secret that the 2012 elections are going to be contentious and costly, and the state races will certainly be no exception. The elected officials that have been supportive of our industry and with whom we have established a strong rapport will expect that we support them enthusiastically. We also need to be prepared to contribute to issue based campaigns to support or defeat constitutional amendments on the 2012 ballot. Additionally, FAA will be tackling some potentially controversial and industry critical issues in the upcoming legislative session, and it will be imperative that we are willing to put our money where our mouth is. APAC is our vehicle to support our efforts to establish the relationships we need to be heard in the legislature. Thank you for your continued support of APAC and the apartment industry! Each year we continue to enhance our legislative efforts, and each year our members step up to lend their support. If you would like to be more involved or have questions about our legislative relationship building or efforts please do not hesitate to contact me!
