Special Feature: Study Abroad for Students of Color RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS OF COLOR Fulbright U.S. Student Program The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the largest U.S. international exchange program offering opportunities for students, scholars and professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide. United Negro College Fund: Institute for International Public Policy The United Negro College Fund Special Programs (UNCFSP) Institute for International Public Policy (IIPP) recruits students from diverse backgrounds to participate in a comprehensive program of summer policy institutes, overseas study, intensive language training, internships, graduate study, career services and professional development, and training in cultural competence. http://161.58.87.106/ content/objectives.cfm offers several types of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for qualified professionals pursuing vocational studies. The Rotary Foundation encourages students of color to apply. www.rotary.org National Security Education Program (NSEP) The National Security Education Program offers David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarships for Study Abroad as well as Graduate Fellowships to study less-commonly taught languages in countries critical to the future of national security. Students of color are encouraged to apply. www.iie.org/nsep Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation: Pickering Scholarship The fellowship program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. The program seeks to recruit talented students in academic 2 programs relevant to international Council on International Educational Exchange: Robert B. Bailey Scholarship The Robert B.
