NEWS New IIENetwork Members Seminars for Higher Education Administrators The International Education Admin-istrators (IEA) seminars, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, help international education professionals and senior higher education officials from the United States create empowering connections with the societal, cultural, and higher education systems of other countries. The IEA Program to Germany is open to experienced international exchange staff, foreign admissions advisers, study abroad staff, international education exchange advisers, career services, alumni affairs, and development/fundraising staff. There are 25 grants available for two weeks in late October 2011. Ph.D. is not required for this award. Application deadline is February 1, 2011. Save the Date: Open Doors 2010 On Monday, November 15, 2010, the Institute of International Education will release the findings from Open Doors 2010, the annual report on student mobility. IIE, together with the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, which funds this research, will hold a special briefing on Open Doors 2010 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on the morning of November 15, to kick of the celebration of International Education Week.
