Airplane number one ﬂew under the command of pilots Mike Carriker and Randy Neville with the all-new twinjet performing as expected during its approximately three-hour maiden voyage. This marked the beginning of a ﬂight-test program that will see six 787s ﬂying nearly around the clock and around the globe with the airplane’s ﬁrst delivery scheduled for fourthquarter 2010.
