After an extensive development and ﬂighttest effort, Boeing’s advanced-composite-built 787 Dreamliner may have come, or be coming, to a city near you as the all-new jetliner racks up premier-level air miles on its global debut known as its “Dream Tour.” As it visits the company’s customers, supplier partners and the Seattle-based manufacturer’s own facilities for the beneﬁt of employees, the Dreamliner brings its collection of technology innovations, passenger experience improvements and performance enhancements to impress its hosts. They include the ﬁnanciers’ community, which, for the ﬁrst time in aviation history, was an integral part of the design of commercial jetliner. “The 787 Dreamliner is a game-changing airplane, and we’re delighted to be able to Other country customers include China Southern, Hainan Airlines and Xiamen. China Chapter
The six-month-long effort began in early December with the tour airplane, known ofﬁcially as ZA003, touching down at Beijing’s Capital International Airport and marking its debut in mainland China. “I’m extremely impressed with what I saw including the spacious cabin, largest-even windows, larger overhead bins and the dynamic LED lighting,” said Fan Cheng, senior vice president for Air China.
