AirLink Responds to Japan Earthquake & Tsunami
ISTAT AirLink, a humanitarian initiative of the ISTAT Foundation, has gathered to take action to assist those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. ISTAT 1st China Conference Deemed a Success
On 16-17 May, ISTAT held its 1st China Conference and was overwhelmed by its success as close to 240 people from around the world, and many from China, came to this vibrant city to do what ISTAT members do best: meet, mingle, attend presentations and do business. Around one-third of the audience was from China, and many signed up as new members. This not only underscored the importance of this conference, but it also was an important step in the ISTAT Internationalization Strategy initiated four years ago. The program offered interesting speakers, such as Mr. Ji Yuan, deputy assistant director general of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), who spoke on China’s ﬂeet planning strategy for the next ﬁve years; a representative of the Tianjin Free Trade Zone; and a great lessor and ﬁnanciers panel. The conference was performed bi-lingual and the venue, the Beijing J.W. Marriott, received lots of positive feedback. If you did not have a chance to be here this time, make sure it is on your calendar for next year when ISTAT will hold its 2nd China Conference! Finally, many thanks to Cynthia, Michelle and Ben from ISTAT headquarters for making this a very smooth event, and to our sponsors for their support.
