Taming the River
Flood prediction technology is the first of its kind
BY STEPHEN MURDOCH
FOR YEARS, COMMUNITIES have worked diligently to boost flood preparedness and curb potential catastrophe. To date, the flood prediction methods used have traditionally focused on the main stems of the largest rivers. Their work has paid dividends and will go a long way to ensuring the most common natural disaster in the United States is dealt with in an efficient and effective manner.
