Rural Water - Quarter 3, 2012 - (Page 11)

R A Sincere Thank You RURAL WATER HAS the expertise, the desire and the passion to dramatically impact the success of our state rural water associations, but also, thousands of rural and small community water systems across America. But, without the financial support and resources of our governmental agencies and corporate partners, we are like firefighters without water. Our generous corporate partners and funding agencies enable NRWA to provide services to more than 50,000 water utilities each year. As our utility membership grows, NRWA will keep working with Washington, DC, to expand our service offerings and have a presence in even more utilities. Alliances formed with corporate partners and in DC help provide access to a wide range of services for our utilities through our state associations. We can never overlook the importance of our state association partners in the success of our utility membership. So, let me say a sincere “thank you” for your partnership over the past two years. It has been my honor and a distinct privilege to have served as your national association president. I have stood in admiration and respect at many of your conferences and meetings, as I looked around at the incredible success of rural water nationwide. I have been humbled by your gifts, acceptance and generosity towards me and my family. I look forward to many more years in Rural Water and to creating more partnerships as we move forward toward our common goals. Thank you again. I hope to see you all in Nashville in September! From the President BY JOE LILES, NRWA PRESIDENT I have stood in admiration and respect at many of your conferences and meetings, as I looked around at the incredible success of rural water nationwide.
