Don’t Expect Snow in Charlotte WELL, WE DIDN’T EXPECT a recordbreaking crowd at the 2010 AGG1 Aggregates Forum and Expo…in Cincinnati…and in the middle of a snow storm, but the final registration for the combined shows topped 6,200, seven percent higher than the previous (inaugural) year. So, can you blame us if we are even more enthusiastic about holding the 2012 AGG1 at the Charlotte Convention Center in North Carolina in March when the average temperature is about 20 degrees warmer than in Cincinnati? Exhibit space sales have already kicked off for the 2012 co-located AGG1 and World of Asphalt exhibitions with a “space draw” at CONEXPO-CON/ AGG 2011 in late March. The show floor already spans 67,300 net square feet, and space sales are tracking ahead of the successful 2010 event. More than 75 percent of the 2010 final space tally has already been reserved. According to Show Director Melissa Magestro, “We received very positive feedback about the 2012 shows at the space draw, which was first open to returning exhibitors and then firsttimers who had expressed interest. Exhibitors know the show is a proven way to grow their businesses, and attendees will find the latest product innovations to position themselves for growth.” We are particularly pleased to be holding AGG1 and NSSGA’s Annual Convention in Charlotte. Dubbed “The Queen City,” after Queen Charlotte, the wife of King George III, Charlotte is quite a historic American city.
