The chapter continues to host packed monthly Toasty Tuesday
networking events and tours at recently opened or renovated hotels
throughout New York. In June, the chapter held its first fundraiser,
the annual HD/NEWH Owners' Roundtable, from which it raised
almost $13,000 for scholarships and education. Special thanks to
the table hosts (brand executives, owners, and operators from a
variety of hotel companies), and event sponsors-Global Allies,
Fabric Innovations, American Standard, Durkan, iWORKS, MDC,
Moen, Raydoor, and Standard Textile/SK Textile. Save the date for
the chapter's second fundraising event-November 9th-set to be
a glamorous party featuring a silent auction, photo booth, dancing,
and a celebration of this year's scholarship award winners.

Sponsored by Symmons Industries, the chapter's April networking event, held at Brazen Head Irish Pub, was well attended
by chapter members and guests. NEWH was pleased to have presented the first Symmons Smart Scholarship this past May
at HD Expo, facilitated in part by the company's Toronto sales team. May's event was sponsored by Standard Textile and
consisted of a product presentation by Neil Fowler in a guestroom at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Toronto. Fowler outfitted
the suite with Standard Textile products and hosted small groups in the room for an informative presentation, while
guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails in the Wildfire bar between tours. Then, in June, the chapter hosted a casual
sundowner at El Caballito to kick off the summer season.
