into the expo hall to meet with 250+ marine interior brands. "This
event is something that we need. The market is changing and for
the interiors industry there is nothing else like this," says Antonio di
Nenno, lead architect, MSC Cruises.
Prior to day two's opening keynote session, NEWH international
president Cindy Guthrie took to the stage to present the program's
scholarship awardee. Joined by Cruise Ship Interiors Expo's CEO
Toby Walters, Cindy presented Brennan Broome with the $5,000
scholarship. As Cruise Ship Interiors was the scholarship sponsor,
Cruise Ship Interiors Expo was also presented with an honorary
award by NEWH.
Additional expo highlights included yet more networking at
Studio DADO's VIP breakfast and, later in the day, at Trimline's
exclusive party at the Cruise & Ferry VIP lounge.
Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Miami will return to the Miami Beach
Convention Center next year under the name Cruise Ship Interiors
Expo North America, from June 16-17, 2020.

Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Miami, the world's first highly focused
event dedicated exclusively to interior design, architecture, and
outfitting in the cruise industry, welcomed the cruise interiors
industry in June at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The
inaugural event welcomed more than 2,800 industry delegates,
with 125+ CEO titles and 300+ directors spanning more than 43
countries. "The quality of visitors on day one was extremely high,"
says Shores Global CEO Susan Sadolin. "We saw everybody we
wanted to see and, as a result, we are developing an entire new
collection for cruise lines."
Kickstarting the event at the New World Center in Miami,
VIPs and exhibitors came together for an evening of networking,
complimentary drinks, and live painting by James R. Hahn at the
official launch party sponsored by Bolidt, Global Marine Travel,
JANUS et Cie, and Somec Group. After a successful evening of
reconnecting with industry peers and making new acquaintances,
attendees, including cruise lines execs, senior interior designers,
shipyard and outfitting experts, and IMO-certified suppliers flooded
