CHAPTER HIGHLIGHTS

Arizona
The chapter hosted its second annual Supper Club at the Fat Ox-a chef-driven restaurant in
Scottsdale-in October, celebrating local restaurants and the creative teams behind the design.
Chef Matt Carter crafted a five course meal for attendees and shared inspiration behind the modern
Italian menu.
In November, the second-annual NEWH Honors award ceremony was held at Pitchforks & Corks
in Tempe, where the chapter presented $2,500 scholarships to two students: Shelbie Pinkelman,
Northern Arizona University, and Claire Batalona, Arizona State University. The 2018 TopID winners-
3rd Story, Bar Napkin Productions, and FFKR Architects-were also honored, and awards given in
nine categories. Past president Mary Blanchard was also presented with the NEWH Joyce Johnson
Award for her dedication to NEWH and the Arizona chapter. The event was possible thanks to
Platinum Poise sponsors Tarkett, Village Hospitality Furnishings, and Kellex; Gold Glamour sponsors
Longust Distributing and Daltile; Silver Spotlight sponsors 3form, Crypton, Janus et Cie, Restoration

And in December, the chapter's annual Christmas for the Troops was held at Farm + Craft Uptown
Phoenix, designed by Hayes Architecture/Interiors, raising money for Military Missions Inc.'s
Operation Dispatch.
