Arteriors has introduced several new collections, both under the Arteriors name and through its Guest Designer
program, which includes collections from Celerie Kemble and Windsor Smith, and upcoming debuts from Frank
Ponterio and Ray Booth. "We've always partnered with artisans all over the world," explains Arteriors founder
and creative director Mark Moussa. "We love the journey of discovering a new material or technique that we
incorporate into our collections." The company is also able to value engineer many of its designs to be more accessible to various budgets.
NEWH is a wonderful resource for Arteriors' business development and networking. Ultimately, Moussa adds, "we support NEWH because NEWH supports
our industry."
Ashley Lighting continues to design products that meet the changing culture, including a recent fixture with a built-in charging
pad. It has also completed recent projects at the Cache Creek Casino Resort in Brooks, California, and the Hyatt Regency Mission
Bay in San Diego. The company continues to move forward with a green mindset-creating products that maximize task lighting
functionality with an environmentally friendly impact, while also designing smart fixtures that can connect with mobile devices.
Ashley Lighting's involvement with NEWH provides a unique benefit, explains vice president Ron Smith. "The passion and
focus on student scholarships gives us the reward of being a part of something that is more valuable than a great business model
or quality products."
Down Etc continues to educate its hospitality partners in the hygiene of the bed and the positive health and
wellness effects of a great night's sleep. In fact, it has published Roll Into a Perfectly Made Bed: All You Need
to Know About the Art of Bedmaking, to share what founder Rebecca Litwin has learned over two decades in
the hospitality industry. The company is also proud of its collaboration with Globe-athon, a community of researchers and medical professionals committed to
educating women and their support systems on gynecological cancers.
Down Etc deeply admires the focus of NEWH and its members on the next generation of designers and innovators. The most exciting things happen when
there is a continually growing circle of teaching and learning.

Kimball Hospitality, in business since 1985, has recently focused on mixed-material casegoods, including the industrial-inspired
Framework collection, with wood, metal, and marble; and the Altitude headboard with cantilever nightstands, featuring brass
accents. The company is also introducing more seating options with modern, clean lines, exposed wood, and metal frames.
Kimball values the networking opportunities NEWH shows and events offer to develop and strengthen relationships with design
professionals and industry leaders.

With the successful launch of its Tufgrain product-a wood-grain finish applied to aluminum seating-Shelby
Williams is adding new styles, including armchair, side chair, barstool, and stack chair options. It also produces
several products that are 98 percent post-consumer-recycled content, such as cast-iron table bases and
components manufactured from recycled car parts.
The company also understands the challenge of educating designers on product details with very little exposure, and shares NEWH values of supporting
the industry through education and scholarships. "NEWH allows us to stay connected to the people who specify and use our products every day," says vice
president of sales Jordan McInturf.
Recently celebrating 80 years in business, Ulster Carpets is excited to launch Vescent-a new contract stock collection featuring
contemporary designs in on-trend colors. And with 75 percent of its product exported out of the UK, "Ulster Carpets has always
taken a long view of continually investing for the future, and we are proud to be a leader in our industry on the international stage,"
says managing director and group deputy chairman Nick Coburn.
Part of this strategy is Ulster's involvement with NEWH. "The wide variety of NEWH events provides Ulster with excellent opportunities to network
with designers and specifiers across the hospitality industry in the U.S. and the UK," Coburn says.
Vaughan Benz had an exciting 2018 and beginning of 2019, with its casegoods and other furniture in significant projects including
a rebrand of the London NYC Hotel to the Conrad, the Beverly Hills Hotel bungalows, and Maison de la Luz hotel in New Orleans.
It has also created a proprietary enterprise resource management (ERP) software called VB Live, where its project managers can
send weekly reports to purchasing agents with a snapshot of every order.
