hues and wood tones.

is printed with artists' names; furniture in a mixture of materials
and tones and art-inspired lighting graces a seating area.

The Canopy Central bar, another feature consistent in all
locations, is designed to transition during the day-from artisanal
breakfast in the morning, to cocktails and small bites in the
afternoon, and finally to a dynamic, energized evening space.
Patterned concrete floor tile with patina and white subway tile on
the back wall is contrasted by rich butcher-block wood accents at
the bar's front, juxtaposed with a copper chickenwire framework
behind, which doubles up as an open liquor and glassware display.
Furnishings are eclectic and playful in a natural palette and
materiality.
The art experience starts to interact on a more intimate scale
on guestroom levels. A soft, clean palette of warm wood tones and
lightly hued furnishings offers a backdrop for inspired moments
reflective of an artist's residence. The entry hall features an open
closet with refrigerated drawers, while the flexible and functional
bathroom is closed off to the hall with a barn door-maximizing the
internal room space and creating an easy flow of movement.
Asymmetrical headboards adorned with the quote "Tomorrow
is Another Day" canopy out over the bed. Pale blue tones highlight
an inset rug in a pattern like brush strokes, surrounded by light oak
porcelain plank flooring, resulting in a comforting, residential feel.
Custom light fixtures speak to the feel of a photographer or painter's
studio, echoing the artistic vibe throughout the property.
"Designing for the Canopy brand has been very exciting for us,
as the brand is committed to tying in design concepts to the past
and present history and character of the locations," Krause Sawyer
adds. "Each Canopy by Hilton is entirely unique and a new, exciting
opportunity to create memorable, meaningful spaces that resonate
with visitors and locals alike."
