CHAPTER HIGHLIGHTS

Vancouver Region
The regional group hosted its ninth-annual event in
November at the newly redesigned Hotel Belmont in
downtown Vancouver. The event included room tours
and a presentation by designers Joanna Kado and Daniel
Meloche. The region also awarded its TopID 2020 winning
studios and gave out a student scholarship award. The event
hosted more than 200 guests from Canada and the U.S. and
was attended by NEWH, Inc. President Chris Tucker, and
esteemed founder and executive director, Shelia Lohmiller.

Paris
In 2019, NEWH spun out into new territory, kicking off the Paris chapter, the second in Europe following the U.K. Starting a new chapter is not an activity
to be taken lightly, however the interest in the Parisian hospitality community is flourishing. The growing Parisian group has already come together
a handful of times to discuss the chapter's initiation. Key topics include purpose, goals, and promotion. The community is excited, motivated, and
passionate and plans to meet at January's Maison&Objet. Once the setup is off the ground, the chapter is confident it will affect the local hospitality
community in significant and meaningful ways.
