Make them part of your community risk reduction plan. SPRINK L With 73 years in the fire service between them, Les and Diane Woods understand the dangers of home fires to both civilians and responders. In response, they've launched an ambitious educational strategy that already includes more than 60 public home fire sprinkler demonstrations across the southeast, and numerous fire service trainings. "We're trying to educate as many people as possible," Les says. They take their advocacy seriously and say they will never live in an unsprinklered home. In fact, they were the first in their county to install fire sprinklers in their own home. "We had to walk the walk and talk the talk," Diane says. "It's so much a part of our hearts and passion."
