hat the F are bones? How often do people stop and truly think about how important
ones' bones are? Bones are pretty darn cool if you ask me.
For anyone going through cancer treatments, let alone metastatic cancer,
bone health is extremely important. This may seem like an obvious statement,
but it is one that I do not hear talked about very often in the cancer community.
In this latest collaboration with our friends at Tigerlily Foundation, we have some fantastic
articles, stories, and even recipes for healthy bones. There are workout routines designed to fit
every level of experience, plus easy tips on how to get started. Not only do we have written content,
but you will also find videos throughout this My LIFE Matters issue that you can easily watch to
learn more about other individuals going through cancer as well as bone health.
I would also recommend the cover story written by Terlisa Sheppard. Terlisa's article on
celebrating her 20th anniversary thriving through metastatic breast cancer is inspiring and
moving in so many ways.
As always, I would like to thank all of the contributors in this issue for being vulnerable in
sharing their own experiences to help others know they are not alone in facing cancer. Storytelling
is a powerful tool to be used in building community. It takes a herd to help each other face cancer,
and we are honored to once again partner with Tigerlily Foundation in producing this newest
edition of the My LIFE Matters magazine. l
