Short Takes continued Get Hospice-Specific Management Training Without Leaving Home It normally takes at least one year to complete Levels I and II of NHPCO’s highly-acclaimed Hospice Manager Development Program (MDP), but your staff can now complete that training in just three months—right from their office or home. What’s Being Offered During Summer School? June 8 and 9: Two-Day Foundational Training For the first time, NHPCO’s MDP two-day foundational course (which is usually just offered at conferences) will be broadcast live on June 8 and 9 via the Internet from the NHPCO office at the National Center for Care at the End of Life. July and August: Numerous Webinar and Self-Paced Modules During July and August, staff can take up to 6 instructor-led Webinars and/or self-paced modules to complete Levels I and II of the Hospice MDP by Labor Day: Instructor-led Modules What is Hospice MDP? It is a unique management training program that helps staff learn the skills to succeed in managing hospice programs, systems and people. Managing Conflict in the Workplace Managing the Changing Organization Managing Workplace Negativity Plus, Modules in the Fall Hospice MDP Summer School also offers the following modules in the fall, which is especially helpful to staff who want to complete Levels I and II, but also have vacation plans.
