pRoduCt foCuS + An Inspired Collaboration A Touch of Yesteryear Carnegie explores flea market style with the Modern Vintage Collection 1 3 2 Vivid imageintense signage system The Jhane Barnes Collection Jhane’s artistry has touched everything from fashion to furniture to textiles. And now signage. 24 designs – each available in four colors and every sign type within the Vivid image-intense signage system. 800.528.1398 The Modern Vintage Collection of upholstery textiles from Carnegie provides an updated take on classic designs. Inspired by fabrics found at flea markets, many of which were made at a time when intricate details were stitched by hand, the six styles in the collection offer a fresh look with all the high-performance features that are expected of a modern textile. Maxwell Street (1) is Carnegie’s interpretation of traditional tapestry technique. The fill-faced structure hides the warp threads, allowing for the clustered hexagon pattern to have a crisp look that brings out its vibrant colors. Brimfield (2) offers a whimsical, largerscaled pattern with a subtle ombre effect on a textured background, and is made with Bella-Dura fiber in a closed loop-recycling stream. The collection features several indoor/outdoor styles including Camden (3), a bold geometric Sunbrella Contract fabric inspired by the shape of vintage clocks and snowshoes, and made in a zero landfill plant. The styles in the collection are named after famous flea markets around the world, and also include the dynamically textured Brick Lane, the soft, heathered Chelsea, and the nuanced Vintage, which features a multicolored warp that weaves through a chenille fill. —Cody Calamaio Reader Service No. 220 Select No. 57 at 28 september 2013
