12 | Newsworthy | Appointments PAVE elects Denny Gerdeman as president he Planning and Visual Education Partnership’s (PAVE) board of directors have elected Denny Gerdeman, co-founder and CEO of Chute Gerdeman, to serve as its president. “I’m honored to continue my support of PAVE and the future of the retail design industry in this new role,” Gerdeman says. “Encouraging and supporting retail design education has been a longtime priority for me, and I am looking forward to taking a more active role in this important organization.” Earlier this year, Gerdeman also was awarded the prestigious 2011 Markopoulos Award by DDI Magazine. He has also won numerous honors from T DDI’s annual Portfolio Awards over the last decade. In addition to Gerdeman’s appointment, PAVE also elected the following officers: vice president, PAVE, Linda Lombardi (Godiva Chocolatier, New York); vice president, PAVE Gala, Bill Goddu (Fleetwood Fixtures, Chicago); vice president, Education, Brian Davies (University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati); and treasurer, Richard Ernest (Crown Metal Mfg. Co. Inc., Elmhurst, Ill.). Four directors also were elected to the board during the PAVE annual meeting, including Harry Cunningham (Saks Fifth Avenue, New York), Randy Pender (BLUEPRINT3D, Woodbury, Ga.), Veronica Romano (FIT, New York, and Veronica Romano Creative Services LLC, New York) and Denise Waldo (Leggett & Platt Store Fixtures, Minneapolis).
